3 Reasons Why ChristMAS [must] Be the Focus + Free Holiday Print
Happy Wednesday friends and thanks for joining me in the Hope in the Holidays Christmas Blog Tour. I'm thrilled to participate with Blogs by Christian Women (BCW) and fellow sisters in Christ as we share glimpses of our hearts, traditions, and homes to remind others of Christ. Today, I would like to share three reasons why Christ MUST be the focus this holiday season. Enjoy!
1 | Christ is the Reason for the Season
Why do we celebrate Christmas? If you look at what TV advertisements or social media portrays, one would think it is all about finding the best deal and spending lots of money on food and gifts. Matthew 1:21 states that "she will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." We must remember that the Christmas season is a time to reflect on Jesus Christ's birth and the reason He was given as a gift to mankind.
2 | Christ is the ultimate gift of love
God gave the ultimate gift of love when He gave His only son Jesus to walk the Earth to share the gospel and to give the gift of salvation through His death and resurrection. What greater gift could you give someone this holiday season, by sharing the gospel and your personal walk with our Savior Jesus Christ. Allow Christ's love to shine bright so others may see Him in you and want to draw closer to Him.
3 | Time to REST and REVERENCE Christ
Christmas is also a great time to slow down and rest in the presence of God and enjoy family and friends. We must make time to reflect on Christ's goodness and grace and to give honor and thanksgiving to the one who came so that we could have life. This holiday season, allow yourself to be still and ponder on the magnitude of Christ. There is none like Him and He is worthy of all our praises.
