I Can Move Mountains {and you can too!}
There will be decisions that you make, that people just won’t understand. But no matter how hard you try to explain it, you still have to go forward with your decisions and let them see it unfold.
Friend, this is what moving mountains is all about…..
God calls us to have faith, and he tells us that if we in fact have faith we will be amazed at the things that we can do. I am in that very space right now.
My husband and I have talked about relocating for many years. In fact, when we were in our early twenties and just friends, we would talk about our regret of not leaving home and going away to college. When we merged our lives together and he "put a ring on it”, we declared that we would at some point leave the city and state we had known all of our lives. The place he proposed was our inspiration; we would one day see our family in that space.
We didn’t know when, we didn’t know where and we most certainly didn’t know how, but we said that we would. Well that time has come and we have decided after spending time in prayer about it and sketching out loose plans, that we are leaving, we are gonna leap and see mountains move. This is happening right now!
I write this from my returning flight where my daughter and I stopped in our new city to find us a home. With just 17 days left until we actually pack up all of our belongs on a truck and set off to our new home in our new city.
I am amazed watching God weave this thing together.
The thing that has me amazed the most is my lack of anxiety and stress in the process. And let me tell you there have been some stressful moments. Let me also tell you that it does not take much for me to begin to stress. I am seeing my faith stretched and my overall growth blossoming and I love every bit of it! Even the hard hard parts.
This weekend, the hubs and I will be jumping on a periscope to explain some of the most common questions that we get asked about this journey. The how? The why? The when? All of it…well most of it anyway.
If you are not following on periscope, you can find me at @IamKenyaRae. I will be updating regularly from there over the course of this journey. Additionally, you can check out my YouTube channel where I will also share regular updates of this faith journey.
While your leap may not be to a new state, or even to a new city. I hope that my leap inspires you to: Think about what your leap looks like? What your leap means to you? How your leap can change your life? Why you should leap?
If we say we have faith, then we must be willing to believe that we can tell a mountain to move from here to there and that it will in fact happen.
"You don't have enough faith," Jesus told them. "I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it would move. Nothing would be impossible."
MATTHEW 17:20
I surely hope this provides you some sort of inspiration, motivation and fuel to start moving your own mountains. I can't wait to share with you.
Until next time, be blessed.
