Only If It Helps One - Would You Live Your Calling?

your Dreams, your passions, and your goals - would you live them out to serve only one person?  //www.chamelscreations.com

If you're like me on various occasions, may find yourself pondering on your purpose and your calling.  My mission for my life and this space is to help change the lives of women - to shift atmospheres, attitudes, and hearts for the glory of God.  To be honest with you, I fall short to putting my purpose in action and embracing the journey because I spend time falling to the comparison trap, desiring to reach all and save all, and allowing frustration and doubt to stagnate me.  I get frustrated when from my perspective, I'm not seeing growth in my biz, not making sales, not seeing increase in subscribers/followers.  Yes - I'm guilty of it but the Holy Spirit quickly draws me back to my "Why" and ultimately to God.

These profound questions were whispered in my ear as the Holy Spirit quickly checked my motives and my heart.  If people weren't watching or following, if I didn't sell a single product, and if I didn't get any response/feedback, would I give my best and serve that one person that God may be calling me to?  YES I WOULD because JESUS DID!

He is the greatest example to follow as the Bible shares that He is our shepherd.  He loves us, cares for us, and protects us.  If a shepherd finds that one of his sheep has strayed away, he will leave his flock to find and save that lost one.  All his effort and energy goes towards that one!  Jesus doesn't go out His way to get the Emmy for Best Shepherd of the year (lol), but to save and bring that lost one back to the flock - back to Him and the kingdom.

"So He told them this parable, saying, "What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? "When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing." Luke 15:3-6

So you see, we are ultimately put here for more than what we desire, but to rejoice knowing that we are called to help and serve others.  I challenge you to spend some time in prayer as you check your motives, sit in your purpose, and determine how you can move forward as you put everything on the line to give "that one" your all.  Believe me, God is about to reignite your heart and change your perspective - it's going to be amazing!
